There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
Fans of the River Cottage TV show, presented by celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, can visit the famous cottage for the River Cottage Autumn Fair on 8th-9th September.
The autumn fair is a fantastic opportunity to explore River Cottage HQ, and even meet the gang from the show. They will be cooking some delicious treats to celebrate the season, and will be utilising the barbecue and wood fired oven for a real homely flavour.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall will of course be there, along with head chefs Gill Meller and Tim Maddams, and meat specialist Steven Lamb. They will all be on hand throughout the weekend to take part in cookery demonstrations and there will also be interesting talks from a range of experts.
On top of this there will be fun for all the family, including a rural craft and farmers market, live music, cider stalls, face painting, puppet theatre and a fancy dress competition. Kids under 12 go free, perfect for a family day out.
The River Cottage Autumn Fair is sure to draw in hundreds of people and tickets are still available for the Sunday, but hurry as many have already been snapped up by food enthusiasts enjoying Dorset cottage holidays.
