Ray Quinn and Don Maclean star in Poole's panto

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a pantomime, and those staying in Dorset cottages in the run up to the big day can find a great local panto at the Lighthouse centre for the arts in Poole.

This year's offering of singing, dancing and comedy can be found as the story of Aladdin hits the stage, the tale of the young boy and his genie who attempt to win the hand of the princess and defeat his wicked uncle. Aladdin will be played by singer, dancer and actor Ray Quinn, the cheeky chappy who found fame on the X Factor in 2006 and Dancing on Ice in 2009. Don Maclean, one of the top 10 Dames in the UK as rated by the Stage, will be making his 40th appearance in panto this year in the production.

For a great night out with family or friends, there is no better place to head to than the pantomime. Opening night is on 7th December and the production is running until 6th January, plenty of time to squeeze an entertaining performance into your holiday.
