Preparations in Old Wyke Square in Weymouth are beginning for this year's Wyke Christmas Street Fayre on 9th December, and this year looks to be bigger and better than ever. Thousands of people attended the Fayre last year and the Christmas celebrations are expected to draw in just as many this year.

Music, dancing, children's fancy dress, bell ringing, stalls covered in festive delights and an ample supply of mulled wine can all be found at the Fayre, and the running time of 12 noon-5pm is sure to be action packed and a great day out for locals and those staying in Dorset cottage holidays. A number of choirs performed at last year's fayre and even more singing entertainment is expected for this year.

Whilst grown ups have a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine, kids can go and have a photo with Father Christmas before the judging of the fancy dress competition. The Wyke Christmas Street Fayre combines that feeling of local festive spirit with an exciting day out for all, so make sure to head to Weymouth this weekend if staying in Dorset.
