There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
It has recently been announced that Bournemouth Pier will be benefiting from a series of brand new attractions that are sure to appeal to people thinking of enjoying Dorset cottage holidays in the future.
The company which owns the pier, Openwide International, is hoping to install a high ropes course and zip line which will take riders across the sea from the pier to the beach. High ropes courses have previously been successful in forests and woodland areas so it is hoped that a seaside attraction with a nautical theme will be just as popular. In efforts to appeal to all ages, the high ropes will have two different levels; one for younger or more nervous people and another for more adventurous riders.
There are also plans to erect a standing surf wave ride called Oz Wave at the end of the pier, an attraction which will let visitors try out surfing safely at any time of the year. Although only in the planning stage at the moment, the new development is sure to encourage many people to visit Bournemouth.
