There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
Dorset’s Daily Echo produced its first ever photographic book of some of the best photos taken by people who enjoyed Dorset cottage holidays last year, featuring local scenes and photos which celebrated the influence of the Olympic Games in Dorset. After this huge success, they have decided to create another one and have organised a competition to find the very best photos of Dorset.
The new book will be entitled ‘Dorset: A Photographic Journey Through Towns and Villages’ and the Daily Echo, along with the Dorset Echo and Castle Cameras, is encouraging both locals and visitors to bring along their cameras and explore the county’s array of quaint villages and pretty towns.
The best entries which capture the “beauty, variety and characters” of rural Dorset will be included in the book and the very best photo, as chosen by readers of the Daily echo, will win the owner £100 of Castle Cameras vouchers. The closing date for entries is 21 June, meaning that there is plenty of time for people to plan a cottage holiday in Dorset and enter the competition.
