The National Motor Museum in Beaulieu will be hosting a special talk on Saturday 14th March, which will uncover the mixed legacy of automobile engineer Colin Chapman. The talk will be presented by Karl Ludvigsen, CIMechE MSAE, who gets to grips with the motivations behind Colin Chapman’s most famous achievements in the world of sports and racing cars. If you’re staying in cottages in the New Forest with your Mum this Mother’s Day, then why not treat her to an experience with New Forest Activities. On Sunday 15th March, activities such as archery, canoeing, kayaking and cycle hire are all half price for mums, meaning you can enjoy the surroundings of the beautiful New Forest, all while spending quality time with your Mum. New Forest Activities specialise in activities for all the family, so why not introduce an element of competition with the family combat games, or work together as a team during a bushcraft day?
Budding photographers will want to embark on this fascinating tuition workshop that focuses on the way water can complement the landscape. Taking place in the New Forest on Thursday 26th March, a number of locations will be visited, including the picturesque beach at Lepe, and the river at Blackwater and Mogshade Pond, which is spectacular at sunset. Participants are advised that there is a lot of walking involved, and that a camera with a wide angle lens and tripod are required.
