There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
With the clocks springing forward and more sunshine just around the corner, April is a fantastic time to get away from work and unwind on a New Forest cottage break. If you are already looking forward to your country escape, here are some great events to enjoy in the New Forest this month.
There are plenty of Easter Activities being offered at the Beaulieu Motor Museum from 3rd-19th April, which promise to entertain all members of the family. Visitors will be able to see two new exhibitions at the museum, race the family on a giant Scalextric track, create their own balloon rally car and take part in a themed car hunt.
For the horticultural enthusiast enjoying a stay in one of our countryside holiday properties during the month, the lachenalia display at Exbury Gardens is one you won’t want to miss. Exbury House is home to many of the 120 different species of lachenalia and this collection of flowers is unlikely to be seen anywhere else in the world. All of them in bloom together is a true sight to behold, so make sure to pay a visit by 6th April.
To enjoy a fantastic sporting event, be sure to come along and enjoy the Wiggle New Forest Spring Sportive. Although Saturday tickets are now sold out and Sunday passes are in short supply, there’s still an opportunity to watch the contestants as they take on either the 69-mile or 86-mile routes. Regarded as one of the top ten sportives in the UK, it takes in the spectacular scenery that the National Park is renowned for and offers a fantastic day out for the family.
