There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
Victorious Festival in Portsmouth has announced its two headliners alongside a number of other fantastic musical acts.
Taking place on August bank holiday weekend, the two-day festival will see performances from flamboyant rock band the Flaming Lips and rapper Tinie Tempah on Saturday, and electronic dance duo Basement Jaxx on the Sunday. Other acts to have been confirmed include special guests Texas, The Fratellis, Ella Eyre and the Magic Numbers.
The event is regarded as a great family event, with a variety of stages catering for different ages and interests, such as the Common Stage, Castle Stage, Nevada Seaside Stage, and Kids Stage. Located by the seaside, it’s the perfect summer festival and also offers boutique gardens and a market where festival goers can browse unique stalls. The event will also include a real ale festival, where a variety of UK wide beverages will be showcased.
Last year’s festival attracted more than 70,000 people to Southsea seafront, and it is hoped that this year’s event will be just as packed. In 2013, Victorious Festival boasted acts such as Maximo Park, the Cribs, and Charlotte Church, and his since grown in popularity yet still keeps its great value prices.
Those staying nearby in ideally situated cottages in the New Forest can purchase early bird tickets from just £18 a day before 3rd April, when tickets will then rise to £25. Those hoping to attend the festival will be pleasantly surprised when even more acts are announced in the near future, to add to the already amazing line-up.
What’s more, the D-Day Museum, Southsea Castle and Blue Reef Aquarium attractions are all free to Victorious Festival ticket holders, which is great for those looking to explore all that Hampshire has to offer alongside the event.
