There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
Dogs have long been known as man’s best friend thanks to their loyalty, friendliness and outright cuteness. Those enjoying Dorset cottage holidays on 16th September have the chance to celebrate the bond between man and dog at the Margaret Green Companion Dog Show and Family Fun Day at Church Knowle, near Wareham (call 01929 480474).
Margaret Green Animal Rescue is Dorset’s oldest and largest animal charity, re-homing 1,000 ill-treated and unwanted animals every year. The Dog Show and Fun Day will be raising money for the charity, and with adult tickets at £2.50 and under 12s entry only 50p, there is every reason to pop along for a great day out.
The fun starts at 11am and runs until 4.30pm, with pedigree and novelty competition classes, dog agility courses and other competitions providing the entertainment. Alongside the dog show there will also be plenty of stalls, a barbecue and, in the hopes of continuing summer, a Pimms tent.
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever, so make sure to head to Margaret Green Animal Rescue this September.
