There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
The renowned London Philharmonic Orchestra will be heading to Eastbourne's Congress Theatre this January for a performance that is expected to be as astounding as their reputation. An evening of classical music performed by this orchestra is a must for anyone staying in holiday cottages in Sussex on 27th January.
Jaime Martin will be conducting the group with Nicholas Carpenter taking lead clarinet for the performance of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. Described as a piece from the dusk of Mozart's career, it offers a contrast to one of the other pieces to be performed, Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, Eroica, which was written during one of the most turbulent points in the composer's career, when his hearing began to fail and he had to adapt to this dramatic change. In addition to these two greats will be a performance of Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn, rounding up what is sure to be a stunning evening.
Tickets range from £12 to £28 and can be bought from the Box Office by calling 01323 412000. Scheduled to start at 3pm, listening to the London Philharmonic Orchestra is the ideal way to spend an afternoon in Eastbourne.
