Are you planning on visiting Hampshire and The New Forest this summer? You’re in for a treat with all...
Following on from the success of the Christmas Market in November, the Palace House at Beaulieu is getting into the spirit of the season with a special Christmas Celebrations event. Both adults and children will find plenty to do, whether exploring Palace House or taking a stroll around the grounds.
Palace House will be bringing the Victorian Christmas past to life in all of the rooms of the stately home. Period costumes for dressing up can be found in the Lower Drawing Room and there will be regular sessions of carol singing for everyone to enjoy. Visitors can talk to Victorian characters who will be sharing their stories of what Christmas was like for both the aristocracy and servants, before taking a look at all the Victorian Christmas Decorations around the house.
Enjoy a glass of hot fruit punch in front of the yule log fire before taking a walk outside to see one of the biggest outdoor Christmas trees in the New Forest. There is plenty of festive fun going on at Beaulieu and plenty of reason for people staying in New Forest cottages to step outside of their cosy cottage.
