Visitors who staying in holiday cottages in Devon near to the coastal resort of Torbay can include a little culture during their stay, with a visit to one of the area’s most famous properties.
Greenway Estate, previously the home of Agatha Christie when she was staying in the south west and now owned by the National Trust, is currently hosting Torbay’s annual ‘Great Create Festival of Arts’ from August 1 – September 2.
The 2012 Great Create Festival is a platform for many of the new and established artists within the area as a way to show off their exciting work to a much wider audience. The festival, now in its sixth year, is a hugely popular event which showcases much of the outstanding contemporary works in all formats produced by artists within the South West.
The festival is open from 10.30am – 4.30pm daily (except Mondays). The usual National Trust admission applies, with prices ranging from £4.90 – £8.75. Family and group tickets are also available.
