There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
You could easily think that London is the only place receiving any attention from the Olympic committee given the coverage in the media and the number of events taking place there. However Weymouth will also get its share of the limelight as the Olympic sailing events will all be taking place in the waters just off the town.
If you’re going to be enjoying Dorset cottage holidays during the Olympics, then this is a great chance for you to get involved in these extraordinary games. Two giant screens will be set up on Weymouth beach with enough room for fifteen thousand people to watch the sailing events, and entry is free.
Numbers will be carefully monitored, so you’ll need to get there early if you want a guaranteed spot, but the atmosphere on the beach and the chance to say you were present at this once-in-a-lifetime event is not to be missed.
