Amateur photographers are being encouraged to head to Wiltshire this spring and explore the beautiful countryside to find potential winning entries for a local photography competition. The Wiltshire's Hidden Treasures photography competition will begin today and is open to both locals and those enjoying a holiday in Wiltshire.

The competition aims to help people discover some of the beautiful but lesser-known areas of the county, and photographs of these beautiful areas will be put on display in a special exhibition. The winning photograph of Wiltshire's secluded beauty will then be turned into a greetings card and sold to raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The competition opens today and will run until 28 April, providing plenty of time for people to combine a stay in Wiltshire cottages with the chance to discover the rural beauty of Wiltshire and help out a deserving local charity. Photographs should be submitted in a high resolution digital format by email to photocompetition@csbowyer.co.uk.
