June 24th – July 7th, Bournemouth and Poole.
This wonderful event in Bournemouth is an entire fortnight of jazz music celebrations in venues across the wider area of Bournemouth and Poole.A host of talented jazz singers and artists will be performing live jazz music at local hotels, bars, pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants during the festival fortnight.
July 27th – July 29th, Weymouth.
This event will take place on Weymouth Beach and at the Pavilion.Friday kicks this exciting vent off with the 3-Star men’s and women’s beach volley classic events, followed on the Saturday and Sunday by the 5-Star events and finishing on Sunday with the mixed events. An exciting long weekend on the beach.
July 15th, Poole.
On this fabulous day in July you get to revel in a day of vintage music, fashion, memorabilia, entertainment and classic cars on a 1940’s-60’s theme. Vintage music will be flowing all day and you can enjoy, and even take part in, dance displays.
15th August, Gillingham.
One of the largest one day agricultural shows in the south, The Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show is held on the Turnpike Showground in North Dorset. This traditional show is always held on the third Wednesday in August and regularly has an attendance of over 24,000 people. The 2018 Show looks all set to be one of the best events ever, with a record number of trade exhibitors, a great range of attractions for all the family and entries for the competitive classes being received at a record rate.

26th August, Lyme Regis.
Candles on the Cobb is a dramatic and spectacular event illuminating the historic Cobb Harbour at Lyme Regis with 5000 tea-light candles, at the same time raising thousands of pounds for local and national charities.
18th August, Bridport.
Bridport Carnival is a must-see event and a highlight of the town’s calendar! The fun packed extravaganza includes a grand procession held on the third Saturday in August each year and features plenty of floats and colourful walking entries.Other activities include a carnival quiz, darts and a family bingo. as well as the traditional Sunday evening torchlight parade from Bridport to West Bay, which creates a superb end to the celebrations with the awesome spectacle of 1,500 blazing torches being carried by families as they snake their way to the seaside for a celebration with live music and fireworks.
31st August – 2nd September, Lyme Regis.
Lyme Folk Weekend has quickly become one of the most popular events of the summer, and one big reason is that the festival has been brilliant at unearthing some wonderful young local artists.
