The picturesque fishing town of Newlyn will be celebrating their annual Fish Festival in August; this offers visitors to the region staying in holiday cottages in Cornwall a perfect to way to experience a local cultural event.
The Newlyn Fish Festival will be held down at the town’s harbour on August 27. This one day event offers visitors a chance to sample and enjoy some of the best locally caught Cornish seafood, plus enjoy a wide variety of things which will be happening during the festival, all of which revolve around seafood and maritime life.
If you do venture down to Newlyn for this event you will also be able to enjoy a spectacular array of exhibitions, cooking demonstrations, a mix of live musical entertainment throughout the day, sailing races and maritime displays, plus why not have a go at bidding in the seafood auction? Children will be treated to a wide variety of amusement and entertainment, which will include storytelling and competitions.
