Anyone enjoying one of the wonderful Dorset cottage holidays during early September might well want to also visit one of the county’s largest annual food events; this year’s Cheese Festival will be showcasing the myriad of local cheese producers, plus a host of other local produce and crafts from many regional artisans.
Over September 8th – 9th, visitors can enjoy a real taste of Dorset, with the annual Cheese Festival taking place in the scenic rural town of Sturminster Newton from 10 am – 5pm. This year’s event is promising to be even bigger than before as it will feature all the best in cheese and dairy produce from many of the top regional producers. There will also be a wide selection of other local produce which will include fruit and vegetables, meats, game, fish, pies, cakes, confectionary, cider, beers, wines, and an exhibition of local crafts from local producers and artists.
