If you are looking forward to staying in one of the region’s country holiday cottages, you will be pleased to know there’s also a wealth of events you can enjoy. Here are just a few of the best for you to pencil into your diary.
Bournemouth Wheels Festival
An event that is sure to appeal to motoring enthusiasts, Bournemouth Wheels Festival brings three fantastic days of fun to the town; from the pageant of exquisite classic cars from year’s gone by to the first ever daredevil motorcycle jump over the pier of the seaside town, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy between the 24 & 26 May. The best thing about the event? The fact that everything is completely free of charge.
Weymouth Kite Festival
As if you needed a better excuse to head to Weymouth beach while relaxing in a nearby Dorset holiday cottage, doing so from 3-5 May means you will have the opportunity to discover all the action of the The Weymouth Kite Festival. With this year’s theme an ‘elaboration on a theme of sea life’, expect to see kites flying of all shapes, sizes and detail as makers look for extra points from stunning designs, vibrant colours or great flying routines.
