Are you planning on visiting Hampshire and The New Forest this summer? You’re in for a treat with all...
You’ve probably stared up at the night sky during a stay in the countryside and marvelled at just how clear it can be. The number of stars on display in some parts of Britain is truly incredible. Now, those staying at our holiday cottages in Sussex can get an even closer look thanks to the public shows taking place throughout June, July and August at the South Downs Planetarium.
Located in Chichester, it features a 100-seat Star Theatre that can be used to show audiences incredible pictures of the night sky in crystal clarity, not spoilt by the weather and free from the effects of the atmosphere upon them.
Future shows will allow you to learn about the Solar System, the Milky Way, the moon, and even to explore images from the Hubble Space Telescope. A full list of events can be found at the South Downs Planetarium website, along with further details and information about the planetarium itself.
