Discover the water birds at Mote Park wetlands

Mote Park near Maidstone is a beautiful wetland habitat which attracts a huge number of water birds from across Europe and a special guided walk has been organised this month so that visitors can learn more about these lovely creatures.

The walk has been arranged for 12th January and is open to anyone who would like to know more about the wetland habitat and discover some of the wildlife that has travelled hundreds of miles just to be there. A guide will be on hand to tell visitors more about all the creatures that are spotted on the walk.

A fun and free activity for those staying in holiday cottages in Sussex this month, booking is essential and can be done by emailing moteparkevents@maidstone.gov.uk, quoting the date and activity name. Once booked, simply bring binoculars and dress warmly for an early 9am start that is entirely worth it for a glimpse of these fascinating creatures.
