Devon beach hut on market for £245,000

The Devon coastline is famous for being one of the most sought-after locations in the country for both property ownership and holidays. Buying a beach hut combines the best of both worlds, and now a beach hut in Devon is set to become the most expensive beach hut in Britain.

We tend to see numerous brightly coloured beach huts when on a seaside trip during a stay in holiday cottages in Devon, but this latest hut is a cut above the rest. Located in the seaside village of Shaldon, it's on the market for £245,000, an amount that would buy a four-bedroom house in a number of locations across Britain.

Although the hut measures just 7m x 1.8m, its credentials are impressive. It has a rear patio, fitted kitchen, mezzanine bedroom and even a marble wet room for luxuriously rinsing off sand and saltwater. On top of this there is underfloor heating, wireless internet and a television. With a stunning location on the coast of Devon, this is sure to be a property on the wish-list of many.
