It was announced this week that the UK's only cycle race especially for women will be returning to the New Forest this year. The Cycletta series is set to take place at Beaulieu on 13 October and will utilise some of the popular cycle tracks in the area.
The race, backed by Olympic athlete Victoria Pendleton, occurs in seven different locations across the UK, many of which are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. Cycletta New Forest is open to women of all ages and abilities, so there are a number of different distances that cyclists can opt for, ranging from 20km to 82km.
The news that the Cycletta series will be returning to the New Forest for 2013 will come as great news to cycling enthusiasts who are thinking of staying in holiday cottages in the New Forest, thanks to the range of excellent cycle paths that the national park is famous for.
