Are you planning on visiting Hampshire and The New Forest this summer? You’re in for a treat with all...
The Cornish city of Truro is once again preparing to welcome thousands of visitors to enjoy its annual City of Lights event, which marks the start of the county’s Christmas period in spectacular fashion.
Every year, the regional capital is transformed with a stunning procession which offers so much more than the turning on of Christmas lights which are hosted by most towns and cities. The 2012 event, scheduled to take place on the evening of November 14th, is set to be one of the most memorable so far, with a Kings and Queens theme to be interpreted and explored by a variety of groups, including local artists, schoolchildren and members of community projects.
The City of Lights event will be well worth checking out by anyone who happens to be staying at one of the great holiday cottages in Cornwall towards the end of the year, and will be an excellent opportunity for visitors to the county to explore this historic city at its most beautiful.
