Many people choose to enjoy a holiday staying in English country cottages because of the beautiful surroundings and great attractions that can be found right on our doorstep, and VisitEngland's latest tourism campaign recognises the wealth of experiences to be had along England's coastline.
England's iconic seaside destinations have become the topic of the national tourist board's most recent campaign, something which is part of a three-year project which celebrates the country's coast, countryside, culture and heritage. The campaign seeks to promote such areas as the English Riviera in South Devon, Bournemouth, Skegness and Dorset which are renowned for being popular seaside resorts.
James Berresford, Chief Executive of Visit England, described the campaign as their attempt to get people to feel nostalgic about seaside holidays again, whether this is from memories of exciting surfing lessons or a walk along the beach with an ice cream. A seaside break has plenty to offer holidaymakers of all ages, with outdoor and indoor attractions providing something fun to do all year round.
