See the stars and more at Wimbleball’s Star Party

Those who are staying in holiday cottages in Devon this weekend need look no further than Wimbleball Lake in Exmoor National Park for something fun to do this weekend. To celebrate Exmoor’s award as the first place in Europe, and the second place in the world, to be named an international dark sky reserve, a Star Party is being held at Wimbleball.

On 10th November from 6pm-9.30pm Exmoor National Park Authority and the South West Lakes Trust will be inviting keen stargazers to join them for a free evening of stargazing. Good weather permitting, the night skies will be full of stars to see, but even if it is overcast or raining there will be plenty to do. Visit the Explorer Dome Planetarium and the Torch Transformer Workstation, and walk the Star Trail. For the young ones there will also be a space rocket design competition and the chance to build a constellation.

There are plenty of exciting things to do at the Star Party, and it is all free, making it a great night out to attend this weekend.
