Salisbury Playhouse Gets New Director for New Season

If you’re heading to cottages in Wiltshire or Salisbury later this year, you’ll be able to visit the Salisbury Playhouse and enjoy some excellent new productions.

Not only has the theatre announced the line-up for its new season, which includes ‘London’, a play jointly produced by the Salisbury Playhouse, Paines Plough and Newcastle Live Theatre, but has also secured a new executive director to replace Michelle Carwardine-Palmer, who leaves for the National Theatre Wales this month.

Sebastien Warrack is to take her place, a man lauded for his range of talents and the variety of productions he has been involved with. His presence should be a major boon for the theatre.

Planned for the near future are adaptations of William Golding’s ‘The Spire’ and a reintroduction of ‘Stepping Out’. With such quality and variety on offer at the Playhouse, it’s clear that Salisbury has a lot to offer those who choose to visit it during a cottage holiday.
