A new marathon is set to entice runners to the beautiful Cotswolds as preparations for the Cotswolds Way Challenge get underway. Offering a unique opportunity for runners to enjoy a rural alternative to urban marathons such as the London marathon, the Cotswold Way National Trail is an ideal route for embracing the beauty of the English countryside.
The Cotswolds Way Challenge is a particularly challenging 100 miles long, but the route is spread out over 4 days so that the runners can take the time to enjoy this part of the country, which is popular with those looking for a holiday in English country cottages. The runners will camp in 'runner's villages' where they have access to toilets, showers, ice baths, sports massage, food and entertainment.
The Cotswolds Way Challenge will be running from 2 to 5 August and looks set to be a great event to both take part in and watch, with great views of English countryside and stone villages to be enjoyed by all from beginning to end.
