The Jurassic Coast Award photography competition is now officially open, so now is the time for those enjoying Dorset cottage holidays to get out the camera and take some photographs that could win them £500.
The aim of the competition is to get people to explore more of the magnificent world heritage site and capture it from new and interesting angles. The judging panel is looking tough as Ben Osborne, Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007, will be leading the judging panel.
There are three categories of entry for the competition: My Special Place, Close up Coast and Point in Time. These titles should be enough to get budding photographers to head to the Jurassic Coast and let their imagination run wild, something that should be easy to do considering the photogenic beauty of this expansive area. Entrants must submit A4 sized prints for judging and the deadline is 25th February 2013, so now is the time to get that camera shutter clicking.
