The Cotswolds are known for being a top destination for enjoying a holiday in English country cottages and a recent tourism awards ceremony saw a number of attractions and facilities in the area come out with top honours.
Corinium Museum in Cirencester scored the gold award for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year at the Cotswolds Tourism awards. Judges from Cotswolds Tourism described the museum as a "treasure house" of Roman history in the middle of Gloucestershire and that the quality and presentation of the collections were outstanding.
The gold award in the Visitor Information Provider category went to Moreton Area Centre in Moreton-in-Marsh after secret shopper visits saw staff show exceptional customer service in helping holidaymakers make their time in the Cotswolds special. Judges said that standards were already very high in the Cotswolds so Moreton Area Centre could count themselves as "very, very good indeed".
Just some of the top places to visit whilst enjoying a country cottage holiday, there is plenty to discover in the Cotswolds.
