You’re not going to run out of exciting things to do and places to go in Dorset, but when...
The Bridport Literary Festival is now celebrating its 8th year of running and the 2012 festival looks to be as exciting and jam-packed full of events as ever.
From 11th-18th November, the Bridport Literary Festival will offer both locals and those enjoying Dorset cottage holidays the chance to really get stuck into literature. Various talks and workshops will give keen readers the chance to explore the minds of some of the most fascinating authors of our time, including legendary crime fiction writer P.D. James, historian and broadcaster Dan Snow, and contemporary poet Bernard O’Donoghue.
Numerous venues around Bridport will host the week of events, including The Bull Hotel, The Electric Palace and The Riverside at West Bay. Each event is individually ticketed and some have sold out; contact Bridport Tourist Information Centre on 01308 424901 to book tickets for your particular talk or workshop. Head to the Bridport Literary Festival website to check out the full line-up and make sure you don’t miss out on meeting some literary greats.
