There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
This November sees Truro City of lights return to Cornwall, a lights extravaganza that celebrates art, music and dance in the form of glittering lights.
One of the most anticipated family fun events of the year will be held on 14th November, and the turnout of locals and those staying in holiday cottages in Cornwall is likely to be huge. A dazzling procession of giant handmade lanterns will float through Truro’s streets, held by professional artists, children and members of the local community. Accompanying the procession will be a range of music and dance acts from local bands and the Truro School of Samba.
Each year, there is a different theme and for 2012 the theme is Kings and Queens, so expect a few royal appearances in glowing lantern form! The parade gets very busy so it is advisable to get to Truro city centre early to get a good viewing spot; the parade itself starts at 7pm. Truro City of Lights is great fun every year, so make a note in your diary to be in Truro for the 14th November.
