The Michelin guide 2013 will be released next week and two restaurants in Bath can celebrate their culinary successes.

The Bath Priory on Weston Road is a completely new entry to the guide and has received its first ever Michelin star. Head chef Sam Moody has previously won a Michelin star in 2012, and his addition to the Bath Priory has seen his trademark locally sourced food win many awards. Notably, the most local producer is Bath Priory itself; the Kitchen Garden provides plenty of fresh herbs and more.

The other Michelin star winner from Bath is The Park Restaurant at Lucknam Park at Colerne, which has managed to retain its Michelin status since 2006, an incredible achievement thanks to Michelin’s high standards. Executive chef Hywel Jones, known for his use of organic food, has been the driving force behind the restaurant’s success.

For the ultimate dining experience whilst staying in English country cottages, there is clearly room for choice in Bath, a city where culinary expertise can be found in the wide selection of restaurants aside from the Michelin greats.
