There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
For a wonderful day out while you are enjoying your Dorset cottage holidays, why not pay a visit to the biggest event in the steam and vintage vehicle calendar later this month as the annual Great Dorset Steam Fair comes to Blandford Forum?
It will be taking place at the village of Tarrant Hinton from August 29 to September 2 on its 500-acre site, giving visitors a chance to experience a traditional English steam fair which attracts visitors from across Europe and the rest of the world.
This National Heritage Show is set in the beautiful Dorset countryside and offers a fantastic unique experience, featuring many of the best historical steam engines to be found anywhere in the world. The steam fair not only displays the largest gathering of steam vehicles seen in the UK, but also an old time steam funfair.
As well as over 220 full-size steam engines, there will be vintage vehicles and classic cars with more than 2,000 exhibits, heavy shire horses, a wide variety of rural crafts and 800 trade stalls.
