Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is situated at over 700 ft in the small village of Puddington which lies in the rural heart of Devon, midway between Exmoor and Dartmoor.

The cottage is very suitable for a small family or for couples seeking complete peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings; this is outstanding walking and riding country and there is a good selection of golf courses to try. The area is also rich in historic villages such as Bickleigh and Coleford, both of which have good country pubs. The glorious beaches of North and South Devon can be reached within an hour and the location also provides easy access into Cornwall via the A30. The market town of Tiverton is 6 miles.

Apart from the more recent extension comprising the kitchen and bathroom, Rose Cottage dates from 16th century; it is a delightful, detached, cob cottage which oozes character and charm, including oak beams and a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room. The owners have devoted enormous time and effort into making it a very comfortable - home from home - and provide an extremely comprehensive stock of 'hospitality' and welcoming items, which include among other things a jar of local Devon honey and a bottle of claret! Rose Cottage has a Visit Britain 3 star grading.
