Situated in the Vale of Pewsey, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the three cottages at Tichborne's Farm have been converted from stables which were used for breeding horses and now offer Visit Britain 4 star self-catering accommodation.

This part of Wiltshire has a wealth of attractions to offer its visitors. It is steeped in ancient history with Avebury Stone Circle, West Kennet Long Barrow and Silbury Hill all being a short drive away. The extensive network of footpaths and cycleways provides an ideal way to explore the surrounding countryside and to view the White Horses cut into the North Wessex chalk downland. Alternatively you can follow the tow path or take a narrow boat trip on the nearby Kennet & Avon Canal, on its way from Newbury to Bath, or visit the historic towns and cities in the area which include The National Trust village of Lacock, Bradford-on-Avon, Marlborough and Salisbury. There are two golf courses to try in the area and several leisure centres. For keen equestrians bringing their own horse, stabling and grazing are available at the farm. The historic market town of Devizes, 2 miles away, provides all local shopping needs and has a good selection of pubs and restaurants.

The Old Stables stand in a courtyard setting next to the main Grade II listed farmhouse on a 50 acre farm, where horses and cattle continue to graze. Conversion of the old stables into three cottages was completed in 2002 with each cottage offering compact but very well equipped, practical accommodation at ground floor level, Kestrel being designed with disabled visitors in mind. Each cottage opens out onto its own small paved area and there is a further enclosed, communal garden/recreation area adjoining fields with garden furniture and a gas fired barbecue. Another very useful facility is the communal utility/drying/boot room with Belfast sink, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer & freezer.

All prices are fully inclusive of bed linen, towels, oil fired central heating and a visitor's welcome pack. A full telephone service with internet access is also available in each cottage
