This delightful and unusual property is situated in the tiny, very peaceful hamlet of Burrow, ¾ mile from the attractive village of Wootton Courtenay. It has been converted from a former threshing barn (approx. 300 years old) and forms one end of the yard of Middle Burrow Farm. Upper Barn has a particularly fine private garden area including a lawn bordering a large pond (NB small children must be supervised). Visitors also have the shared use of the owners' indoor games room with billiard table.

This is superb walking and riding country and, for visitors bringing their own horse, livery is available by arrangement. A bridleway leads directly from the farmyard to the open moor ¼ mile away, and the surrounding area contains many species of wildlife. Maps are provided and dedicated walkers can be transported to a variety of beauty spots to make their own way home.

The medieval town of Dunster, with its old yarn market and Norman Castle, is 4 miles away -(don't miss the Festive Farmers Market in the beautiful surrounds of the castle in December). Beyond Dunster is the North Somerset coastline, which offers superb walking on the South West Coast Path and a good sandy beach at Minehead. The surfing beaches of North Devon's Atlantic coastline are reachable within an hour.

Accommodation

Refurbished to a high standard, Upper Barn offers unusual accommodation, which is both individual in style and highly attractive. An archway divides the ground floor where the bedrooms are located, while upstairs, the open plan living room enjoys fine views of the garden and surrounding farmland.

Entrances from both sides of the archway :- on right to a small lobby, to a twin bedroom and shower room/wc, and on left to a hallway, a double bedroom with wash basin and a bathroom/wc with independent shower above the bath and utility area. Two separate staircases lead to 1st floor. Long, beamed sitting room with woodburner and doorway to a large, light, open-plan kitchen/dining area.
