Splendidly sited a few minutes on foot from the South West Coastal Path on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Wembury Point, Tribbetts has superb sea and coastal views from house and garden. Although set among fields and in rural tranquillity, it is also conveniently positioned for easy access to any number of places of interest. The nearest beach, reached by a footpath, is approximately ten minutes away; spectacular coastal walks even nearer. Westward lies the well-known sailing harbour of Noss Mayo (ferry to Newton Ferrers). The city of Plymouth with its historic naval connections, famous Barbican and Mayflower steps – and of course shopping opportunities! – is a short drive away; and Dartmoor, the beautiful South Hams area and the South Cornish coast, are all within easy reach. The region is also well-supplied with impressive National Trust properties and other houses and gardens open to the public.

Tribbetts stands in its own very private garden and is full of light in the large, comfortable sitting/dining room, the sun room and south-facing bedrooms. Its owners have sympathetically modernised the whole house whilst retaining the many features characteristic of the 1930’s period. Tribbetts is a wonderful base for a holiday in this beautiful – and surprisingly little-known – part of Devon.

Entrance from drive via porch to mirrored hall. Large, bright sitting/dining room with woodburning stove (from December 2008) and with French windows to south-facing sun room (access to garden and wonderful views). Fitted kitchen with door to breakfast/garden room and small utility room. Downstairs single bedroom with en suite shower/wc. Stairs to landing. Two south-facing double bedrooms with fine sea views and one single bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and basin. Separate wc.

Outside: Large fenced garden with lawns, shrubs and panoramic sea views. Patio area with garden furniture and barbecue.
