Standing by a Grade II listed, 17th century country pub in the village of Catsfield, “The Stables” have been converted from a former coach house to provide attractive, high quality, ground floor accommodation for two people in a contemporary style. There is a secluded, enclosed garden to the rear of the cottage.

This is a particularly historic part of East Sussex - Battle (1066 battlefield and abbey) is only 4 miles away and the coast at Hastings (visit the Old Town, castle ruins and fishing harbour) 8 miles. Visitor attractions in the area are plentiful with the Cinque Port towns of Rye and Winchelsea, Lewes (antique shops), Brighton (Royal Pavillion, the Lanes, regency sea front architecture), Eastbourne (theatres & leisure attractions) and the Seven Sisters County Park all being within a 30 mile radius. Stately homes, castles and gardens, such as Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and Batemans are also to be found in abundance.

The Stables’ traditional weather-boarded exterior conceals a well equipped and attractively laid-out interior in a contemporary style – features of its design being eco-friendly electric central heating, a fitted kitchen with integral appliances and a shower cubicle/steam cabinet. NB some traffic noise when outside.

French windows from the sitting area lead out to a paved and gravelled, enclosed rear garden.
