In a valley on the edge of The New Forest lies the village of Rockbourne, with its timber framed thatched cottages and picturesque winterbourne. There is an excellent pub, a church of Norman origins, a Roman Villa and plenty of beautiful countryside to explore.
The ancient heath and woodland of The New Forest, home to roaming ponies and cattle, is a few minutes' drive, while the beaches, yachting marinas and other South Coast resorts are about 20 miles. To the north is the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury.
The Old Stable is situated within the grounds of the owners' house and was carefully converted from a genuine 17th century stable in 1980. It is now a beautifully furnished and well equipped cottage of great charm. Brick, timber-framed and thatched on the outside, the interior includes some antique furnishings, carefully chosen fabrics and a fully fitted pine kitchen.
