The Old Rectory Cottage is the epitome of a Dorset holiday cottage. Built in the 18th century it is Grade II listed, with a thatched roof, thick cob walls and a tastefully furnished interior, which exudes character and charm. Situated in a quiet village, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the cottage is within 25 minutes' drive of the Dorset coast near Poole.

This part of South Dorset has much to offer: richly contrasting landscapes, ideal for exploring on foot or bicycle (the National Cycle Network passes through the village), National Trust properties - Kingston Lacy, Hardy's Cottage & Corfe Castle - and a beautiful stretch of World Heritage coastline from the Isle of Purbeck across to Lyme Regis. Larger centres such as Bournemouth (seaside resort with sandy beaches), Poole (huge natural harbour & Brownsea Island), Dorchester (Dorset's county town) and Salisbury (ancient cathedral city) are within half an hour's drive, while the attractive market towns of Blandford Forum and Wimborne Minster are 4 and 6 miles respectively.

Accommodation

Small entrance lobby. Sitting room with bay window, dining area and open fire. Fitted kitchen with range style electric cooker and Belfast sink. Up one step and through low doorway to utility area. Bathroom/wc. with shower above the bath. Stairs (slightly steep with one turn) to first floor: 2 bedrooms - one double with iron bed and one single (2'6" bed). Shower room/wc.

Small front garden and secluded, paved, rear garden with lockable garden shed/cycle store.
