Situated down a track, 200 metres from the nearest road and within The New Forest boundary, this spacious, thatched, detached cottage overlooks an idyllic 3 acre garden in a woodland setting with a pond and a stream, access to which is by arrangement with the owners, whose neighbouring cottage is some 20 metres away.

From the cottage there is immediate access onto the wood and open heathland of the Forest whose natural beauty is enhanced by the seasons. Sporting activities in the area include horse riding and swimming a mile and a half away at the Sandy Balls Holiday Centre, and there are two excellent 18 hole golf courses at Bramshaw, 8 miles away. There are many good pubs, restaurants and tea rooms to try locally.

Built some 40 years ago and refurbished by its current owners to a high standard - now graded 4 star by Visit Britain - The Lodge offers excellent accommodation ideally located in New Forest woodland.

Ground floor: Main entrance into hallway. Sitting/dining room with a gas fired "woodburner look-a-like" stove and with sliding doors onto a south facing balcony overlooking the garden. Well equipped fitted kitchen. Double bedroom with a brass bed, also with a balcony, and bathroom/w.c. with independent shower above the bath. First floor: double bedroom with wash hand basin. Lower ground floor: Twin bedroom with French windows onto a terrace and en suite bathroom/w.c. with independent shower above the bath. Access onto a large, south facing garden terrace with gas fired barbecue.
