H765 - SP2With its state-of-the-art accommodation, SP2 is the ultimate retreat for a getaway breakH765 - SP2

Inspired by "Sweetpea", a beautiful holiday annexe owned by friends in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, the owners, Doug & Mary Chapman, built "SP2" on their return to the UK. Newly built to extremely high specifications, it stands next to the swimming pool in the garden of the owners' house. It is conceived as the ultimate retreat for short getaway breaks, offering a number of very desirable features - shared use of the heated open air swimming pool, a hot tub, state-of-the-art shower cubicle/steam cabinet and "home cinema." There is also immediate access from the garden onto footpaths leading to the Pilgrims' Way and North Downs Way, which end at Canterbury while Junction 7 of the M20 motorway, which links the M25 (London orbital route) with the Channel Tunnel and the ferry port of Dover, is a mile distant.

The surrounding area offers enormous scope to its visitors. Leeds Castle (only 5 minutes' drive), Igtham Mote (N.T), Hever Castle, Chartwell (N.T.) Sissinghurst (N.T.), the historic naval dockyards and Dickens Centre at Chatham are some of the attractions within an hour's drive. The cathedral city of Canterbury and North Kent coastline are also easily accessible via the M2 motorway. Maidstone, Kent's county town is 2½ miles away and provides good shopping facilities, while the ancient village of Detling, with a good country pub, is within walking distance.

This property is new to our listings and is available for Short Breaks throughout the year.

Downstairs shower room/wc. with shower cubicle/steam cabinet incorporating various programmable shower options - impulse jets, "deluge" shower, etc. plus an integral radio. Open tread stairs to a sleeping area (N.B. limited head height) with double bed and views over the garden & fields to the North Downs.
