This idyllic, thatched, detached cottage dates back to the 17th century and was once part of the Forde Abbey Estate. It is situated on its own down a quiet country lane, on the borders of Dorset and Somerset amidst glorious countryside about 100 yards from a footpath leading to woodland and a stream.
It is only 10 miles inland from the coastal resort of Lyme Regis and therefore within easy reach of a beautiful stretch of the West Dorset coastline. The cottage is 2 miles from Cricket St. Thomas Wildlife Park and from the Windwhistle Country Club for golfing and squash. A mile further on from the cottage is Forde Abbey, dating back to the 12th century, with lovely 30 acre gardens which have origins in the 18th century.
Shedrick Cottage has been restored to a very high standard with the essential character still much in evidence.There is also a recent carefully designed extension which serves to enhance the original accommodation. The cottage's mostly beamed rooms are attractively furnished and the facilities are excellent.

Attractive garden surrounding the cottage with secluded patio area, built-in barbecue & stone table and seat overlooking the field. Additional garden area with enclosure for a few chickens - free range eggs included, subject to availability.
