This Victorian terraced house (1st stone and slate house in main exterior picture) provides an ideal opportunity for exploring the historic cathedral city of Salisbury. Located a short way along a quiet pedestrian street, it is accessed by a walkway which runs parallel to a tributary of the River Avon, a few hundred yards from Elizabeth Gardens. From here the Town Path crosses the Harnham Water Meadows where the artist John Constable painted his celebrated picture of Salisbury Cathedral. The Cathedral Close itself, the main shopping centre, theatre and railway station are also a few minutes' walk away.
Completely refurbished by its current owners (Visit Britain 3 star grading) and incorporating a really good fitted kitchen with built-in appliances and a stylish bathroom, the whole accommodation is to an excellent standard. The owner also provides a visitor's parking permit for street parking near the house as well as a trolley for ease of transporting luggage.
Comments from previous visitors to Water Lane
"Just wanted to let you know what a lovely flat this is. It is well-equipped for cooking. Also, it is kept to a very high standard and is very clean. Would rent this accommodation again." Donna Mackay, June 2007
