Robin's NestRobin's Nest has a very attractive open-plan living areaDuckpool Cove (National Trust) is a few minutes' drive from Robin's Nest

Quietly tucked away in the grounds of a small manor house, Robin`s Nest is a pretty single-storey cottage which has been recently completely renovated by its owners to provide bright and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location close to the North Cornish coast – so close in fact that a footpath from the end of the drive leads straight to a particularly fine stretch of the South West Coast Path, and a little-known (pebble) beach for swimming and surfing. Just down the road is the pretty Coombe Valley and Duckpool, with (free) NT car park and a large sandy beach between dramatic headlands.

For those wishing to explore by car, there is plenty to see and do. This area boasts many of the best beaches and coastal scenery in the whole region, as well as a number of interesting towns and villages. Bude to the South, and Bideford and Barnstaple further East are some of the larger ones: Great Torrington, a few miles inland from Bideford, is famous for its Civil War connections and the Dartington glass factory and shop; while even nearer is the quaint village of Clovelly with its steep streets and lanes. The RHS Rosemoor gardens near Gt. Torrington can be easily reached on a day`s outing, and Tapeley Park near Instow is also well worth a visit.

Robin`s Nest is one of three cottages in the manor grounds. The other two are only occasionally used and this is a peaceful place with an attractive approach from the patio, with a private and well-maintained garden at the rear of the property. Inside, the cottage has been very well furnished and equipped, with a mildly nautical theme, and offers a light and welcoming base for a really relaxing holiday.
