Set on a small country estate in the grounds of an ancient mill house, Walnut Tree Cottage is one of three cottages which attain heights that few other holiday cottages can surpass. Add to this floodlit tennis, and the beautiful surrounding countryside, and you have a unique holiday opportunity. In 1999, the three cottages were winners of the South East England Tourist Board's Self-Catering Holiday of the Year award and in 2002 won a silver award in the English Tourist Board's England for Excellence Self-Catering Holiday of the Year. All three cottages have the top English Tourism Council 5 star rating.
Walnut Tree Cottage has enormous character and no expense has been spared in choosing fabrics, furnishings and fittings of an extremely high quality.
Accommodation
Lounge with log burning stove in inglenook fireplace. Kitchen with old English chestnut units. Downstairs double bedroom with 5ft bed and en-suite bathroom/w.c. (inc 2 overbath shower units and bidet). Laundry cupboard. Spiral staircase to first floor. 2 bedrooms - 1 double with 4 poster bed and with en-suite bathroom/w.c. (inc. whirlpool bath) and 1 twin, with en-suite bathroom/w.c. (inc. shower and bath).
There is a charming brick terrace with flower borders in front of the cottage and a lawned garden with patio by the millstream at the back (toddlers beware).
