Bath also boasts Britain's finest Georgian architecture and offers an abundance of museums and galleries with exhibitions, music and art festivals taking place throughout the year. The city has a wide range of restaurants, pubs and bistros and is a shopper's paradise with an unusually wide choice of smaller, specialists shops; the annual Christmas Market, which is set up every year close to Bath's medieval abbey is an event not to be missed.
