Quietly located in a residential area on the edge of the small village of Chillington, this extensively updated house offers light, spacious and very comfortable accommodation in the heart of Devon’s popular South Hams. Some of the most superb coastline in the country is a short drive away; the South West Coastal Path follows the Start headland with spectacular views, and little-known coves and bays abound: one creek of the Salcombe Estuary (actually a fine example of a ‘ria’ or sunken valley) extends to Frogmore, two miles away. To the west, the local market town of Kingsbridge offers excellent shopping, while in the other direction Slapton Ley Nature Reserve, Blackpool Sands, Dartmouth (home to the Royal Naval College) and the tidal Dart Valley are all within easy reach. The historic cities of Exeter and Plymouth, the rugged uplands of Dartmoor and fine National Trust and other historic properties mean that visitors are spoilt for choice.

The owners of the property have expended considerable care and thought in the refurbishment of the house, providing a high level of comfort for guests; and for those wishing to relax at home there is a large, light-filled sitting room and a convivial kitchen/dining area: outside a very private garden with a large deck leading straight from the house provides the perfect place for a sundowner.

Outside: decked area from utility room with table/chairs. Steps down to lawn surrounded by high hedges providing a very private space. Gas barbecue.
