This attractive cottage has been cleverly converted from a 400 year old cider barn and is brimful of character. Situated on a small working farm (which is also run as a bed and breakfast business) between Ross-on-Wye and Gloucester, it is ideally located for exploring this increasingly popular area. The Forest of Dean starts just ¼ mile away: Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Wye Valley are a short distance, and Hereford and the Cotswolds an easy day's excursion.

Sweet Coppins (the name of a type of a local cider apple: the owners are licensed to sell their own brew!) is close to the farmhouse; it has its own small patio area at the entrance and visitors are also welcome to share use of the farmhouse garden just opposite.

The cottage is interestingly arranged over four floors and has been converted to a high standard (Visit Britain 4 star grading) with all possible needs carefully thought through by its owners including a four poster bed and a double-ended whirlpool bath. They also provide a welcome pack, which includes home made cakes and a basket of free range eggs from their own ducks and chickens. This is a peaceful - and very animal-friendly place, and thoroughly recommended for a relaxed and battery-charging holiday.

Entrance from farmhouse path to bright, kitchen with dining area. Short flight of steps to landing. Bathroom/wc with whirlpool bath and separate shower cubicle. Further stairs to spacious sitting room with woodburning stove, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and views over the farmhouse garden and old cider wheel. Final flight of stairs to bedroom with 4'6" four poster bed and exposed beams.
