This is a charming cottage situated in a small mews just off the High Street in the South Wiltshire village of Tisbury. Tisbury has a useful range of local shops, pubs, a small leisure centre and a railway station with service direct to the west country and London (Waterloo).
Immediately surrounding the village on the borders of Wiltshire and Dorset is some of the finest countryside in southern England, which forms part of the Cranborne Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The landscape is dotted with attractive villages where many cottages are built of the same limestone used to build Salisbury Cathedral, itself just a 30 minute car journey or 20 minute train excursion from Tisbury. Other visitor attractions in the area are numerous - within an hour's drive are Stonehenge, Longleat, Stourhead Gardens, Wilton House, Old Wardour Castle, as well as the Georgian city of Bath, with its newly opened spa complex. The South Dorset coastline, now designated a World Heritage site, is also less than an hour's car journey away and certainly well worth exploring.
